Laminar Flow Hoods for Cleanrooms

Laminar Flow Hoods

A unidirectional laminar airflow created directly at your workstation, providing protection against particulate contamination without the need for a full cleanroom.

Optimal protection for your products and sensitive processes

The laminar flow hood generates a filtered, directional airflow, horizontal or vertical, over a defined work area. It serves as a first line of defense where the process requires it locally, or as supplemental protection in an existing cleanroom. There are two main types: vertical laminar flow (air blown downward from the ceiling, providing maximum product protection) and horizontal laminar flow (air blown toward the operator, adapted to the specific process).
Laminar flow hoods are widely used in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, microelectronics, and medical device industries for assembly, aseptic filling, and the handling of sensitive components. At Consab, laminar flow hoods are sized according to the required airflow rates (CFM) based on the desired level of protection, and are selected independently of manufacturers to meet your exact requirements.
