Fan-Filter Units (FFUs)
FFUs combine ventilation and filtration into a compact module, making them ideal for modular filter ceilings or localized clean areas.
Targeted laminar airflow, flexible installation
A fan-filter unit (FFU) is a self-contained module that combines a motorized fan and a HEPA or ULPA filter in a single flat enclosure, installed directly into the ceiling of a cleanroom. It generates and maintains a downward laminar airflow over the area it covers, allowing for precise and localized control of cleanliness levels.
The FFU is particularly well-suited for scalable modular systems, as it can be added, removed, or reconfigured without major construction work. By combining several FFUs side by side, it is possible to achieve a 100% filtered ceiling, a requirement for ISO Class 5 and higher classifications, where laminar airflow covers the entire surface.
