C2MI

C2MI is a research and development center specializing in microelectronics and electronic systems. It focuses on electromechanical microsystems, advanced semiconductor assembly, printable electronics, electronic and optical components, and other sophisticated electronic systems. The center serves as a bridge between academic research and industry. They commissioned Consab to design an ISO 4 cleanroom equipped with a fully filtered ceiling and a raised floor to ensure purified laminar airflow. It also features amber lighting to protect photosensitive equipment.

• The work was carried out in full protective gear, which made movement, tool handling, and the duration of the operations more challenging.

• The use of a product (Plascore) that is not widely known on the market meant that integrating this specialized material required a period of adjustment for the teams before they could fully master its characteristics and handling requirements. Great care was taken at every stage to prevent any damage to the material and to ensure that the installation met the project’s technical requirements.
